They have two main areas of outreach so far – the Tianguis y Bazar- Outdoor Markets and workshops for budding entrepreneurs. The Tianguis y Bazar is an outdoor market held the second Saturday of each month beginning in May and running through the summer. They are currently held in the Healdsburg City Hall parking lot at 401 Grove St., with plans to move to the new Foley Family Community Pavilion on North Street once completed, allowing them to have markets year round. Vendors can display and sell their original artworks, food, and goods to help increase their income and economic stability and to share their cultural heritage. They also have local folklórico dancers as entertainment at the tianguis. The response has been very positive with well over 50 vendors participating.

They also offer workshops for entrepreneurs in Spanish for those who want to establish a home-based business. These workshops help participants create a business plan and provide training in finance, marketing and graphics. They also provide guidance on applying for the necessary permits to operate. These workshops are held at the True West Film Center. The next one is April 28th. Please contact them for more information.

Vamos hopes to partner with Alliance in the near future at these outdoor markets. One idea they envision is to have the new AMC Vision Van on-site for vision testing. Please join us in welcoming ¡Vamos! North Bay to Healdsburg. Let’s Go!
